Elevating Private Aviation Along the Wasatch Front

The private aviation industry is taking off along the Wasatch Front, fueled by rising demand for luxury travel and personalized flight services. As this sector grows, so does the need for world-class aviation infrastructure that combines performance, sophistication, and safety.

At Forge Contractors, we’re proud to lead in luxury hangar construction, delivering high-end facilities that set a new benchmark for private aviation. Through precision engineering, refined design, and seamless project execution, we help clients reimagine what private flight can look and feel like.

Project Spotlight: A New Standard in Aviation Excellence

One of Forge’s flagship aviation projects is the 23,683-square-foot luxury hangar and executive office complex at Salt Lake City International Airport. Designed in collaboration with PGA&W Architects, this project blends cutting-edge function with high-end form — offering an unmatched experience for pilots, executives, and guests alike.

The centerpiece of the facility is a 20,245-square-foot hangar, meticulously engineered to accommodate five to seven business jets with ample clearance and secure storage. Adjacent to the hangar is a private garage with capacity for three vehicles, along with all essential mechanical systems and utilities to support seamless operation.

Inside, the executive suite offers a private office with a full bath and shower, creating a comfortable retreat for clients and flight personnel. The adjoining office level is designed for both hospitality and functionality — featuring a welcoming reception area, pilots’ lounge, dedicated flight briefing zone, high-tech conference room, and a fully equipped, first-class kitchen. Every space is crafted with precision, ensuring the environment is as refined as the aircraft it serves.

Coordinating with Airport Operations

A defining feature of Forge’s aviation expertise is our ability to coordinate seamlessly with airport operations and TSA officials. Aviation construction demands strict regulatory adherence, careful scheduling, and secure access management.

Throughout the Salt Lake project, Forge maintained close collaboration with airport authorities, regulatory agencies, and safety officials, ensuring compliance without disruption. This proactive communication not only streamlined construction but also enhanced the facility’s long-term safety, efficiency, and functionality.

Construction Management Excellence

As Construction Manager/General Contractor (CMGC), Forge Contractors oversaw every stage of this technically complex project — from design collaboration to final delivery. Managing high-end aviation facilities requires more than construction experience; it requires strategic planning, precision scheduling, and transparent coordination across multiple specialized trades.

Forge’s disciplined approach ensured the project was completed on time, on budget, and to exacting standards, further solidifying our reputation as a trusted partner in private aviation construction.

Building the Future of Private Flight

The Salt Lake luxury hangar represents more than a finished structure — it embodies Forge Contractors’ vision for the future of aviation: spaces where safety, innovation, and elegance come together to create world-class experiences.

As the private aviation sector continues to climb, Forge Contractors remains at the forefront — building facilities that help our clients, and their passengers, take flight with confidence and comfort.
