Project Spotlight: UEA Headquarters Grand Opening
A New Home for Utah’s Educators
The Utah Education Association (UEA) Headquarters is officially complete—its ribbon cut just last week! Located in Murray, Utah, this state-of-the-art facility now serves as a vibrant educational hub for UEA’s more than 18,000 members across the state.
Designed to foster collaboration, connection, and innovation, the new headquarters offers a welcoming environment and flexible spaces for meetings, conferences, and events—both in-person and virtually through advanced video conferencing and hybrid technology systems.
From Vision to Reality
The project began with the partial demolition of UEA’s original office building, followed by site preparation, parking lot demolition, and repairs to the remaining structure. The result is a 20,209-square-foot, two-story facility featuring a community room with classroom-style seating for up to 84 people, multiple conference rooms, and technology-integrated meeting spaces to better serve UEA members and education-related organizations statewide.
Collaboration at Every Level
This landmark project was the result of strong collaboration between UEA, Forge Contractors, and Think Architecture—alongside a talented network of subcontractors and the invaluable support of Murray City and the Mayor’s Office. Together, the project team brought to life a facility that reflects UEA’s enduring mission to empower and support Utah’s educators.
At the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Rod Hurd of UEA shared,
“From this place, let's promote the highest ideals for education as well as for the justice and protection of the children of Utah. This is our headquarters, our home… our place.”
Forge Contractors President Greg Fix added,
“A building is made up of concrete, brick, and steel—but it’s what’s inside this building that truly matters. It’s the people who will shape the minds of future generations for years to come. Congratulations, UEA.”
A Lasting Legacy
As a hub for collaboration and advocacy in Utah’s education sector, the new UEA Headquarters stands as both a symbol of progress and a lasting investment in the state’s educational future. Forge Contractors is honored to have partnered on this meaningful project and congratulates everyone involved on this remarkable achievement.
