Forge Contractors, serving as the CMGC for the Utah Education Association’s (UEA) new two-story headquarters building, played a pivotal role throughout both the pre-construction and construction phases. This project, designed by Think Architecture, is situated on the site of the existing UEA building. During the pre-construction phase, we proactively addressed constructibility challenges and introduced Value Engineering (VE) options to enhance project value. We also effectively coordinated with four different entities linked to the existing building. Despite the complexity of demolishing an occupied structure, we prioritized safety for occupants and the public. Furthermore, we efficiently managed the repair of the existing building’s facade after partial demolition during the construction phase.
